Letter to Simon Birmingham

Early Childhood Australia (ECA) has recently written to Senator Simon Birmingham, Australian Government Minister for Education and Training, expressing deep concern about changes to the National Quality Framework (NQF) for early childhood education and care arising from the 2018/19 Federal Budget. The concern expressed by ECA is that the funding to support the National Partnership on the National Quality Agenda for Early Childhood Education and Care has been discontinued. The implication is that the Federal Government is withdrawing from the National Partnership Agreement (NPA) under which the NQF was commenced and progressed, nearly ten years ago. A similar letter has also been forwarded to the NT Minister for Education.
